Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys in all phases of civil and labor & employment matters
- Prepare, proofread, revise, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
- Perform e-filings in California state courts, federal courts, and appellate courts
- Maintain and organize confidential client files, records, and legal documents
- Manage case calendars, including docketing deadlines in compliance with local and federal rules
- Submit intake and conflicts checks; assist with time entry and client billing
- Coordinate attorney calendars, schedule meetings, hearings, depositions, and travel
- Maintain professionalism and discretion while handling sensitive information
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience, including labor & employment litigation
- California-specific litigation experience required
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Strong experience with electronic document management systems and e-filing platforms
- Extensive knowledge of California and Federal court rules, procedures, and calendaring requirements
- Excellent organizational, writing, proofreading, and attention-to-detail skills
- Strong communication, leadership, and client service abilities
- Positive attitude, reliability, flexibility, and a team-player mindset
